Week 69 – Anchors Away

Hey folks. I am going to write a very very short post tonight.

In two weeks I will be presenting an Ignite Fitness keynote at the Fitbloggin Conference in Baltimore. Basically I will have 5 minutes to present 20 slides on my topic. Tonight I am working on my presentation.

Here is a sneak preview of one of my slides …

This is going to be fun.

I wanted to check in to let you guys know what I have been up to this week.

I have been surfing 5 days this week. Last year there were no surfboards that could hold me.

I ran across the Cooper River Bridge this week. It felt good after not running for a couple of weeks.

My post 5 Things that Hinder Weight Loss was very popular. I think it is because it spews truths that people are afraid to admit. I tend to be pretty good at that sometimes.

I logged my food for a good part of the week, but not all of it. I will work on that. Not sure why I all of the sudden dropped this habit after it helped me lose over 100 pounds. I need to remember to stick with the things that brought me this far.

Oh yeah. One more important thing…

I got a new tattoo today. One that will remind me that at 360 pounds I was literally and metaphorically being held down and I was drowning in my own fat and lethargy. I will never let that happen again.

Maybe it is time you pull anchor on the the things that are weighing you down. Chart a course towards a healthy life. Set sail for a new horizon.

Let me encourage you to subscribe to my blog feed.  I don’t always measure my success with numerical performance indicators…but when I do, I do it by looking at how many subscribers I have. I currently have 260. I have 460 Facebook likes. I feel that the two should jive. Please consider subscribing if you haven’t already. You will be notified by email every time I make a new post and I promise that you won’t get any stupid spam or anything.  Do it for the kicks.
