Week 63 – Epic 200th Post

This is my epic 200th post.

Hmmm. Now that I have written that, I am not so sure I can pull anything epic out of my hat.

Well regardless here I go.

Epic-ness.

Last year at this time I had been on my weight loss journey for 10 weeks and I had lost 40 lbs.

Pretty crazy.

Half of the weight that I have lost to date was lost within 10 weeks of me starting my weight loss journey. That is pretty epic. I feel like Bilbo Baggins telling the crowd that he doesn’t know half of you half as well as he should like, and he likes less than half of you half as well as you deserve. Here is what I looked like when looking was what I liked back then…

So I have lost half that much weight again. I think that looking at myself now, I am such a completely different person.

But I want to be MORE of a different person. So I have almost that much more to lose again.

As you know I am detoxing from Monster energy drinks over the next couple of weeks. I REALLY REALLY think that once I get all of that crap out of my body that I will lose some more weight. I may not be a medical doctor, but I AM a philosophical one (in theory) and that gives me the credence to say such baloney. You guys, however, have backed me up with some sound knowledge bombs and great feedback concerning this topic. Everyone make sure to go back and read the comments from the Monster post to see what awesome fans I have!

So an update on the detox is that I drank one can on Tuesday, one can on Wednesday, and went without any today. I am a miserable grumpy-ass right now and it is probably for the best that my family is going to NC this weekend without me. I also put the money that I saved by NOT drinking that vile pick-me-up juice into my savings account. Can anyone say Stand-up Paddle Board fund?

Lastly, I wanted to tell you that tomorrow morning my triathlon team is getting interviewed by the local newspaper about the fact that Brian and I are running our first tri and that we are raising funds for Louie’s Kids through our Trek Bike drawing. We have raised almost $1000 but we are trying to raise $3000 so clicky click  if you would like a chance to win a $1500 Trek Bike. Help a brotha help treat childhood obesity!

Thanks guys. Cheers to 200 more posts! Sorry for the lack of any real epic-ness.

Growl!
