Week 43 – Gain Weight and Feel Great

Week of 02-23 through 03-01 in the year of our Lord 2012
This is the first weigh-in of the rest of my life. Here are the results for week 43:


Today:
 252.4 lbs.
Last Week: 249.4 lbs.
Week Difference: +3.0 lbs. 🙁
Total Loss: 82.2 lbs.
Waist: 42.5 inches (-0.5)
Neck: 16.5 inches (-1.5)
BMI: 31.5 (+0.3 )

Oh boy. This is probably the first and only week that I will have a GAIN (significant) and still feel good. Watch the update video to find out why…

Alright STOP. Collaborate and listen.

If you didn’t watch the video shame on you, but here is a recap.  I gained 3 pounds from last week, but I lost another half inch on my waist and 1.5 inches on my neck.  That is pretty good evidence that the weight gain is not a FAT weight gain. It still sucks to be going the wrong way on the scale, but the body measurements at least make me feel like there is some redemption in it.

So what now?

I will be heading over to FitMed for my body composition measurement and the other tests next week and I am taking my video camera. It should be a grand ole time. I am excited to be meeting with a professional exercise physiologist and nutritionist who can help steer this hulking ship into port.

    I definitely think it could be due to muscle tone. There are a few weight control regimens out there that focus not on pounds lost, but inches. I know Curves does it this way. I appreciate your positive attitude. As it should be, because losing those inches is a huge feat!

    I figured out your plateau thing that you think you have going on. That beard has grown significantly around the same time you started leveling off. That beard has probably gained 15 pounds in the past couple weeks. Problem solved. Your welcome.

    I started working out, and I completely stopped losing weight. The whole month of February, I lost 3 pounds. Three measly pounds. But I lost inches in at least two places, so I don’t care so much about the scale right now. That and my bf says my butt is looking better. Score!

    Also, ROFL @ the beard comment. I think my bf has about 15 pounds hanging off of his face too.
