Week of 01-13 through 01-19 in the year of our Lord 2012
This is the first weigh-in of the rest of my life. Here are the results for week 37:
Today: 250.4 lbs.
Last Week: 252 lbs.
Week Difference: -1.6 lbs.
Total Loss: 84.2 lbs.
Body Fat: 19.6 % (+0.2)
Lean Mass: 42.6% (-2.1)
Blood Pressure: N/A
BMI: 31.3 (-0.2 )
Who are you calling extra extra large? Me? No my friend, I am only extra large at this point.
That is one of those little victories that makes this whole journey to getting healthy so sweet. I pretty much can wear XL shirts now. I say “pretty much” because some shirts like AA run smaller anyway. Fatboy tax still applies.
I tried to take a picture (below) of what the difference between an XXXL, which is what I was wearing when I decided that enough was enough, and an XL, the shirt I wore to the gym this morning. It is not really all that dramatic of a picture, so I added the dramatic chipmunk to make it MORE dramatic. I think, as you can see, that it had the desired effect.
So I am almost 85 pounds down in 37 weeks. 2 and a quarter pounds per week average. That seems healthy and sustainable. I know my attitude has been up and down about how quickly I wanted to or even COULD lose 100 pounds, but I am happy with the average. I can definitely tell that it is getting harder though.
I think I will go read through some of my previous weight loss motivation posts and see if there is any of my own advice I can take.
Don’t forget that I will be going on live tv on January 25th, at 9:30 to talk with the folks at Lowcountry Live about my weight loss journey and how I have supported Louie’s Kids as a part of my journey. That is when I will be presenting a check to the organization. Read more about how I am fighting childhood obesity and see if you are interested in participating.
…
Until next week’s weigh-in,
Remember that all is permissible but not all is profitable…

You’re doing so good! Don’t stop now. 🙂
Can I hijack your comments for a second? If not, just delete it.
My good friend was the victim of a violent crime and has no health insurance. Could you please spread the word for the cause? We’re trying to raise money to put a dent in his medical bills. You can see more about what happened and photos here on my blog: http://debslosingit.com/help-fix-jeremys-face/.
If you can’t repost the information, and you use Stumble Upon, could you at least thumbs up the post and share it with your friends? Thank you so much! I would really appreciate it!
I am so tickled that you used the dramatic chipmunk to increase the drama in that post. It totally worked.
Yet another great Thursday. I can’t tell you how much I look forward to these posts each week. The contrast between XXXL and XL is amazing. Well done, my friend, well done.

Hats off to you, man! I struggle with losing 5, much less what you have done. Keep the mojo going!
I missed this one, which is unbelievable because I almost missed it out on 1. your awesome honey badger shirt 2. the dramatic effect of the chipmunk (he may appear in my next grad school presentation) and 3. how AWESOME you are. Go Hank!
LOVE the dramatic chipmunk, HAHAHA!!!
