Weigh-In: Week 14 (8-11-2011)

Week of 08-05 through 08-11 in the year of our Lord 2011
This is the first weigh-in of the rest of my life. Here are the results for week 14:

Today: 287.4 lbs.
Last Week: 288.2 lbs.
Week Difference: -0.8 lbs.
Total Loss: 47.2 lbs.

Lowest weekly weight loss since I have started. Most people would be pretty bummed.  I am not atypical.  I would love to blame this on the fact that I hurt my back and did not work out as hard.  That would be a lie though.  I worked out at about the same pace as last week, even through the pain. Wah wah. Back feels fine now. Oh well. It could be the fact that I drank a little more this week than usual.  It could be that I blah, blah, blah…

But you know what?

I feel like those are all excuses.  I don’t know why I had a low loss this week.  I will chalk it up to not working hard enough at eating right and exercising.  I will take the fall on this one.  Let’s see what happens next week.  I know some of you will give me the ol’ A Loss is A Loss routine, but that dog don’t hunt, Monseigneur. I am going to scratch this off as a bad week and start moving towards next week.

In other news, please check out the guest post I had over at MizFitOnline today. Obviously I wrote it a couple of weeks back, but it is no less valid. It is about finding the motivation to get healthy.

And thanks to the new subscribers who found me through the MizFitOnline website. I hope you enjoy your time here. I am not sulky,  Ijust don’t have much to say about a .8 lb loss.

    Look at those people on Biggest loser shows. Some week they barely lose any weights and it’s not because they do not work hard!!! Our bodies will do what they have to do…period. You can fight them or go along for the journey.

    Chin up sweetness. Weight loss is like that. You lose a massive amount quickly then more slowly over a long term period. I sometimes think the slow weight loss periods is a test to see how badly you really want great health. So hang in there love. And you have got my support!!!!

  • I have had those weeks Hank your doing the right thing.. Move forward.. You have lost alot of weight. Keep your focus on what your doing and it will come off!!

    I know. It could’ve been a bad week. I coulda ate too much Chick-fil-A on vacation this week. Get over it… move on. Today is a new day and make it count. That is what I say to myself anyways. Here’s to a better loser week!
