Weigh-In: Week 6 (6-16-2011)

Week of 06-10 through 06-16 in the year of our Lord 2011

This is the first weigh-in of the rest of my life. Here are the results for week 6:

06/16/2011 – 306.4 lbs.     -6.6 lbs. lost this week

That is 28.2 lbs overall

Well honestly I was a little concerned that I was going to have a weak weigh-in this week.  I have been on the road for the past week and while I have fought very hard to eat right I did drink a few beers throughout the week.  I did not have internet access the whole time so I did miss posting to my food diary for at least most of yesterday. I took a bunch of food with me and I turned my nose up at the gravy biscuits at the hotel this morning.  That may very well have been the hardest thing I have done yet.  I am a sucka for the gravy biscuits.

I think I can contribute the majority of my weight loss this week to a step up in exercise.  I had been doing cardio 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes but over the past week and a half I have increased that to 45 minutes 5-6 times per day.  I also am lifting weights 3 times per week instead of the 2 that I had first planned.

I think I am actually enjoying the challenge.
