Weigh-In: Week 7 (6-23-2011)

Week of 06-17 through 06-23 in the year of our Lord 2011

This is the first weigh-in of the rest of my life. Here are the results for week 7:

Weight: 304.4 lbs.

That is 2 lbs. lost since last week
and 30.2 lbs overall

Well I did not think I was going to have a two pound loss this week.  I think that my travelling over the past week and a half was trying to catch up to me.  I ate well while on the road, but I missed several (3) days of exercise during that time.  I also drank too much beer.  Funny thing is that before this journey started, too much beer meant 5 or 6 in a night.  Now too much beer means I drank 3 or 4 over the course of 3 days.  Funny how things change isn’t it?

Well I am back in town and won’t be travelling for a few weeks.  Luckily the next time I travel I will be with my business partner who is not only supporting me on this journey, but travelling it with me.  We are challenging each other to eat well and work out harder.  We have already talked about how fun and challenging it will be to try and find ways to work out and eat well while in South Dakota.  Fun times ahead.

I am still excited about this adventure but I will be honest and say that I can feel it getting harder.  I can feel myself being drawn to food I shouldn’t eat and in my head I can hear excuses why I should skip exercising.  I need some pep talk I think.  Or maybe I just need to stop being whiney. Either way I shall persevere.  Here are some pics for your enjoyment:

30 Down. 70+ to go.
Make sure to check out the updated Commitment to Louie’s Kids page to see how much is going to be donated!

Until next week’s weigh-in,

Put down the kettle-corn, pick up the kettle-bell.

You’re not being whiney, you’re being human! The journey you’re on isn’t easy. If it was, everyone would be skinny. Sometimes you need that little boost from the people who love and care about you to get you through the “excuses in your head”. Keep doing what you’re doing! You’re doing great and inspiring others to get healthy too. Myself included. (I secretly curse you everyday I run on the treadmill :)) So, as my mom would say, “Put on your big girl panties and get to it.” 🙂
